Kornati

In the central part of the Croatian Adriatic, at the confluence of Sibenik and Zadar town, there is a separate and amazing group of islands called Kornati.

Due to the exceptional beauty of its landscape, interesting geomorphology, indented coastline, and especially the rich biodiversity of the marine ecosystem in 1980. greater part of the Kornati archipelago was declared as a national park.

Today Kornati National Park occupies an area of 220 km2 and includes 89 islands, islets and reefs and about 238 km of coastline. Despite this relatively large number of islands, the continental part of the park makes less than 1 / 4 the total area, while the rest is the marine ecosystem.

Krka

National park was proclaimed in 1985. vol. and the seventh national park in Croatian.
It is located entirely within the area of Sibenik-Knin County and encompasses an area of 109 km2 along the Krka River, two kilometers downriver from Knin to Skradin and lower to Čikola.
The river length is about 72.5 kilometers which makes it 22nd river due to length in Croatia.
Krka River starts in foot of the Dinara mountains, 3.5 km northeast of Knin and 22 meters below waterfall Topoljski,Veliki Buk or Krčić waterfall.  

Length of the freshwater river is 49, the brackish section is 23.5 km. Important tributaries of the river are Krčić, Kosovčica, Orašnica, Butišnica and Čikola with Vrba.

With its seven travertine waterfalls and a total drop of 242 meters, the Krka is a natural phenomenon.

Brač

Island of Brač belongs to a group of central islands and it is the largest among the Dalmatian islands. It is about 40 km and an average width of 10-12 km, the total area of 395 km2.
From the mainland is distanced with Brac channel (maximum depth 78 m) 6-13 km. To the west it separates from the island of Solta with so called Split door, and to the south of the island of Hvar by the Hvar Channel (depth 91 m). In the immediate vicinity of the land is the largest city on the eastern Adriatic coast, Split.

Međugorje

Medjugorje is one of the most famous Catholic shrines in the world, located near the town of Čitluk, in the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In contrast to the Marian shrine in french Lourdes, which because of its six million tourists a year became a true believer commercial haven for local businessmen, Međugorje still retains its original charm, where pilgrims find peace in faith. Center of the Shrine of the Queen of Peace( how is officially called a shrine of Medjugorje) is the Holy Church of St. James in the center.

Plitvice

The best and most among of the eight national parks in Croatia - Plitvice Lakes, is the only natural, (of the cultural heritage in Croatia) on List of World Heritage (UNESCO) since 979th, among the first in the world.

According to the IUCN, which defines eight categories of protection of natural areas, Plitvice Lakes belong to 2nd category - the national park, which means a protected area under management, primarily for ecosystem protection and recreation.
